My Story

My passion to become a dog trainer started when my mom brought home my first dog (basenji/pitbull mix) when I was 9 years old. I fell in love with dogs immediately and new right away I wanted to work with dogs when I get older.
When I was in the 6th grade (11y/o), a neighbor and I decided to walk dogs around the neighborhood.  Shortly after we started and had 2 dogs to walk regularly, we made some flyers and started passing them out to homes with dogs.  We began to get many dogs to walk, lots of the dogs did not have great leash manners, so we started offering to help train their dogs and even give them baths! We did this for about 3 years, in that time I got two more dogs Ralphy and Skipper.  I went through a few obedience classes at Petsmart with Skipper and became hook on training and working dogs.
I was determined and built a mini agility cores in my back yard and began to teach my dogs agility and basic obedience.
Shortly after High School I met my now husband Spencer Guynup, he has supported me since day one on my dream to work with dogs.  In 2013 I started working at a dog facility as the head trainer in their training camp. I worked there for 3 years and learned so much! I also began to learn how to groom dogs.
In 2016 my husband and I decided to branch out and open Guynup's K9 Services! Our goal is to be able to educate the community in training and Dog Food Nutrition and help those seeking help with the furry family members.  We look forward to meeting your family and of course your furry friends as well!
