Guynup's K9 Services, LLC, offers a wide variety of 6-8 week group classes, as well as drop-in style classes. Below, you will find class descriptions and sign-up information.
WA State Dept. of Revenue now requires the collection of sales tax on our dog training classes (but not private lessons). Click here to see the law. The current sales tax for Win-Star's location in Unincorporated Pierce County is 10.1%.
Learn how to raise a happy, well-behaved puppy. The first few months of a puppy’s life are considered its sensitive period. It is during this time that a puppy must be properly socialized and exposed to new people, places, children, other pets, sights and sounds. These group lessons emphasize the prevention of common behavior problems, establishing a strong bond between owners and their puppies, encouraging good temperament, and teaching basic household manners. This program also covers basic obedience cues such as Sit, Down, Come, Drop It and others. At the end of the 6 week class your puppy will receive their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certificate!

Basic Obedience if for dogs of any age; no prior training necessary. In this class, your dog will learn basic obedience cues, but in the context of real-life exercise... sitting politely for greetings, walking nicely on leash, developing impulse control, and basic obedience cues such as Sit, Down, Stay, Come and so much more!

In this class, we build on what we learned in Basic Obedience by adding distractions and distance so our dogs learn to pay attention even when other things are going on! (Prerequisite: Puppy/Basic Obedience)
4PM - THURSDAYS - APRIL 30TH, 2026
This is a great class for those who have gone through Private Lessons or
Board & Train as well
And finally, we make sure our dogs truly understand their cues by adding even more distractions and really mixing things up to make things more challenging! In this class, we proof all the behaviors your dog has learned, on leash and off leash and no matter what’s going on! C’mon you can do this! (Pre-requisite: Continuing Basic Obedience)

This class is designed to prepare teams for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Over the course of the program, we will break down each of the 10 CGC test items and build the skills needed for success.
Focus areas include polite greetings, loose leash walking, sit/down/stay, coming when called, reaction to distractions, supervised separation, and maintaining calm, controlled behavior in real-life situations. This is a great next step for dogs with a basic obedience foundation who are ready to refine their skills and reliability.
The CGC test will be administered on the final day of class.

Safe, Effective Fitness for Your Dog
